Kieran Sadlier
Sadlier would certainly have been one Danny likes, for a number of reasons. In scoring during the final he became the first player to bag in every round of the competition since 1974. Furthermore, he’s a former West Ham Utd youngster who is no stranger to the English game.
He played St Mirren, Peterborough and Halifax before going over to Sligo in 2016. He later moved to Cork and it is fair to say he’s found his feet. He scored 26 goals last season and has developed into a much-coveted player.
Sadlier is 6ft, plays as a midfielder but can operate up front. However, if Danny was watching him it might have been in vain. He’s rumoured to be closing in on a permanent deal with Doncaster Rovers as you read this.
