Wycombe Wanderers offer Andre Vidigal chance to reset
Wycombe Wanderers have signed Andre Vidigal until the end of the season following his January release from Stoke City.
The 27-year-old forward had been training with Wycombe for a couple of weeks before agreeing terms on deadline day, having been keen to remain in English football after his Stoke exit.
Vidigal has not started a league game since April 2024 and drifted to the fringes during his time at Stoke, but Wycombe believe his Championship experience can add value during the second half of the campaign.
Club officials have pointed to examples of players successfully dropping a division to reignite their careers, with the move offering Vidigal a relatively low-risk opportunity to rebuild momentum and confidence.
Wycombe currently sit ninth in League One, eight points outside the play-off places, and while promotion remains a stretch target, the hope is that Vidigal can provide additional attacking options as they look to sustain a push rather than drift through the remainder of the season.
