Five of the Greatest Lincoln City Irish Imports

Jack Moylan

Sometimes, it is important to factor in fan sentiment as much as performance, which is why I’ve got Jack in here ahead of Mandroiu.

Born in Dublin, Moylan came through the Bohemians system before a productive loan spell at Wexford, where his goal return highlighted his ability to operate both as an attacking midfielder and a forward. That promise was fully realised at Shelbourne, where he scored 22 league goals across two seasons, finishing as the League of Ireland Premier Division’s top scorer in 2023 and earning a place in the PFAI Team of the Year.

We secured his signature on a pre-contract agreement, and Moylan made his Imps debut shortly after the New Year in a draw against Wycombe Wanderers. His impact was immediate. Combining intelligent movement with technical quality and composure in the final third, he quickly became a key part of the attacking unit. His defining early moment came in March 2024, when he scored twice away at Barnsley, with his opening goal later nominated for League One Goal of the Month.

Despite an ankle injury in 2025 that temporarily halted his momentum, Moylan has remained an important creative presence. Wearing the number ten shirt, he has continued to contribute goals, assists and energy, establishing himself as one of our most influential Irish imports of the League One era.
