Miguel Freckleton – St Mirren
Miguel Freckleton has impressed in his four appearances at Saints, earning an SPFL #TOTW place and scoring his first Premiership goal.
The defender’s assured performances at the back have quickly endeared him to the Saints support and he’s enjoying himself at The SMiSA Stadium.… pic.twitter.com/Cj5qRJiaEs

You’ve read about him on here before. Freckleton is a former Sheffield United youth who spent time with Swindon under Mark Kennedy. It always amused me because Kennedy used the old ‘if I had a daughter I’d want her to bring home someone like Miguel’ line. Think Barry Fry rolled that out first.
He’s a left-sided centre back, something we don’t need right now, but he can also operate at left back. He’s physically imposing, 6ft 4in tall, and he has 32 League Two games under his belt before his move up north.
Definitely one to watch, with 16 outings for the Buddies this season. He’s won 70.4% of his defensive duels, a really big number, and is just over 51% for aerial duels. Averaging 5.4 interceptions per game, he is beginning to emerge as a real talent.
