Foyo Hit With Increased Suspension After FA Appeal

AFC Wimbledon midfielder Osman Foyo has received an enhanced suspension after the FA partially upheld its appeal against his previous punishment for historical betting offences.

Foyo had completed a one-month active ban from an original five-month order, but the Appeal Panel has replaced it with a new five-month sanction.

Three months must be served immediately, with the remaining two suspended for 24 months. His loan at Sutton United has ended, although he can continue to train with Wimbledon.

“Participants in football should not bet on football, and those who do must accept their punishment. We will support Osman and ensure he receives the guidance and pastoral care he needs,” the club said.

Foyo will be eligible to return to competitive action on 24 January.
