Reading Extend Unbeaten Run with Statement Win at Bloomfield Road

Reading head coach Leam Richardson praised his squad for a dominant 3-0 victory at Blackpool that maintained his unbeaten league run.

Goals from Kamari Doyle, Lewis Wing and Randell Williams delivered Reading’s first away league win of the season and their highest away scoring tally since a 5-1 triumph at Mansfield. Richardson said:

“The players take full credit. You can see people getting better as individuals and collectively. To score three and get a clean sheet against a team with good momentum is very pleasing.”

Richardson has set a high target for the campaign. He wants Reading to find the aggression needed to push for promotion. He said:

“To get out of this league we will need 90 goals. Everybody has to take responsibility. I thought Daniel Kyerewaa was excellent and showed the demands we have placed on him.”

Around 700 supporters travelled for the match, and Richardson emphasised to his players that such commitment must be repaid every single week.
