Six Lincoln City Players Who Will Be Glad They Didn’t Play During The Social Media Explosion

This isn’t quite as much about his time at Lincoln. I imagine he’d be lauded as a great signing, and despite a little indiscipline, he’d probably get away with it as a fan favourite. Let’s be honest, Danny Mandroiu was blasted because he had a perceived attitude among some fans. Had it been someone like Jack Moylan sent off twice, I’m not sure the anger would have been quite as strong.

Anyway, Keates’ social media let-off came after he left. He wanted to move closer to home, apparently, and made Walsall his base for a season and a half. After that? He moved to Peterborough, a journey just eight minutes closer than the one he’d have from Walsall to Lincoln.

Nowadays, I’m pretty sure he’d be booed at every touch, with people never letting him forget.
