Goalkeeper Jamie Pardington has joined National League North side Oxford City on loan.

It is Pardington’s second loan spell of the campaign, having played once for Telford United before he was recalled due to an injury to Zach Jeacock. That game was a huge FA Cup Qualifying win, and was the second loan spell of his Imps’ career.

Despite having few appearances for City, he does have an eclectic collection of former clubs. He came through at Wolverhampton Wanderers and gained senior experience with Bath City, Stratford Town, Dulwich Hamlet and Mansfield Town before later stops with Grimsby Town, Larne and Cheltenham Town.

His new side are 22nd in the National League North, having finished 19th last season. They’re a point from safety but firmly embroiled in a relegation battle with the likes of Telford, Peterborough Sports and Alfreton Town.

He will remain with the Hoops until January, and joins the likes of Nick Townsend, Mo Fofana and Paul Wanless in having represented both clubs.

Managed by Ross Jenkins, the Hoops are perhaps best known outside of non-league circles for their 2020/21 FA Cup run when they beat Northampton Town in the First Round, only to narrowly lose to Shrewsbury after that.

They were a National League team as recently as 2023/24, their only season in the top flight of non-league football, but were relegated the following season, finishing bottom of the table.
