Lincoln City Players Who Featured In the Europa League & Inter City Fairs Cup

Bunny Larkin

Inter-Cities Fairs Cup (1955–58, 1958–60)

Bunny Larkin featured in the early editions of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, playing for Birmingham City across the elongated tournament formats of 1955–58 and 1958–60. These competitions laid the groundwork for future UEFA tournaments, and Larkin’s appearances helped Birmingham become one of the first English sides to make an impact in Europe. He took part in both legs of the semi-final against Barcelona, though he missed the replay

He later joined Lincoln City in the early 1960s, bringing with him the experience of top-flight and continental football. Although his time at Sincil Bank was not successful, Larkin remains a significant historical figure—one of the earliest Imps-linked players to experience European football, back when the concept was still in its infancy.

Steven Lennon

Europa League (2020/21), Europa Conference League (2021/22)

Scottish forward Steven Lennon carved out a decent career in Icelandic football with FH Hafnarfjörður, where he featured regularly in UEFA competitions. In 2020/21, he appeared in the Europa League qualifiers, facing off against teams from Eastern Europe. The following season, he was part of FH’s inaugural Europa Conference League campaign, playing against Sligo Rovers and Rosenborg.

Lennon’s link to Lincoln City dates back to 2010, when he spent a brief period on loan at Sincil Bank from Rangers. He scored three times for City, curiously twice scoring in matches that also saw Moses Swaibu sent off in the first 15 minutes of matches.
