Mustapha Carayol
Europa League (2018/19)
Gambian international Mustapha Carayol featured in the Europa League during the 2018/19 season with Cypriot club Apollon Limassol. He played in both the qualifying rounds and the group stage, facing opponents such as Lazio and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The tricky winger had previously spent time at the Bank during the 2010/11 relegation season. Though his spell at Sincil Bank was not a success as such, Carayol went on to enjoy a varied career across England’s Football League and abroad, known for his pace and direct style.
Owain Warlow
Europa League (2009/10)
Welsh midfielder Owain Warlow played in the UEFA Europa League during the 2009/10 season with Llanelli AFC, appearing in qualifiers against Motherwell and Dinamo Tbilisi.
Earlier in his career, Warlow had come through Lincoln City’s youth system, making more than 20 senior appearances between 2006 and 2008 before moving into the Welsh domestic scene. He was once ranked as a huge prospect at the Bank, but never fulfilled that promise.
