Jaden Brown – 360

Jaden Brown wasn’t a bad signing on paper, having been with Spurs as a youth and later Sheffield Wednesday. He looked really good in pre-season against Boston, and I felt we’d got a good one. He started as we beat Wycombe 3-0, but came off with the score at 0-0. He was brought off at half time in the next league game against Northampton and began to be used sparingly. Kennedy’s reign went for a Burton, Michael Skubala came in, and Jaden got another chance, playing 84 minutes against Leyton Orient, featuring in MS’s first three games.
Was that enough of a chance? Six months later, he was playing for St Mirren in Europe and briefly, just briefly, we appear to have dropped the ball. Now? He was sacked by St Mirren after appearing in court charged with driving offences and is currently without a club.
Jay Benn – 0 minutes

And finally, Jay Benn. Released this summer, there are those who feel he wasn’t given much of a chance. I saw him in the cup game against Harrogate earlier in the season and, if I’m honest, he looked some way off. A club insider told me he’s a lovely lad, and were he at the level he’s at now when he signed for us, he’d have done what was asked. We’ve got better, and he’s found himself further behind despite improving.
He’s only just included on this list, but it’s probably because I can almost second-guess his next move. He went on loan to Bradford and played 982 League Two minutes, not appearing at all since Christmas. He feels to me like a player with a League Two ceiling, and any move outside of that will surprise me.
