I always find this fascinating because adding up scores all season often produces winners you wouldn’t expect. Last season, you rated Adam Jackson highest, whilst the first season we did this, the season of Brennan Johnson and Morgan Rogers, you gave this award to Conor McGrandles.

Before I talk about Ethan, your top five were 5: Joe Taylor (7.14), 4: Ethan Hamilton (7.15), 3: Adam Jackson (7.22) and 2: Alex Mitchell (7.27). Lukas Jensen (7.01) and Lasse Sorensen (6.87) didn’t make the top five in match-by-match ratings but were right up there in every other conversation. Funny how the scores work. He also took the highest number of Man of the Match Awards as well, as you can see at the bottom of the page.

However, The Vic Withers Trophy went to Ethan Erhahon. The Player’s Player of the Year went to him as well. He was outstanding, one of the few who barely saw any drop-off through the turbulent times. He largely avoided injury, and proved to be a careful and trusted presence in the middle of the park. Michael Skubala thinks Ethan Erhahon is the best number six in League One.

I agree.

MOM Awards: 10 Ethan Erhahon, 8 Lukas Jensen, 7 Alex Mitchell, 6 Ethan Hamilton, 5 Adam Jackson, 3 TJ Eyoma, 2 Reeco Hackett, Paudie O’Connor, Ted Bishop, Jack Moylan, 1 Conor McGrandles, Ben House, Lasse Sorensen, Jack Burroughs, Danny Mandroiu, Dylan Duffy, Ali Smith
