Worst Performance – Charlton (A) 6.88

When you have five wins and a draw, the worst performance is always likely to be the draw, right?

We weren’t bad in this game, but Charlton did perhaps deserve something on the second-half showing. We were a little shot-shy and maybe made to pay for not creating a bit more.

Still, it might have been the worst performance, but it would have won the best in December!

Best Performance – Shrewsbury (7.79)

I don’t think there’s any doubt that this is one of the best home performances in many years, and only the raft of late subs dragged the score down below an eight.

We just brushed aside a weakened Shrewsbury like swatting a fly, and nobody could have complained if we’d bagged five.

Best Individual Performance – Ethan Erhahon v Shrewsbury (8.60)

This is an outcome that delights me because it shows that he is getting the recognition that a player in his role usually doesn’t. I love a good holding midfielder, the likes of Alex Woodyard and Liam Bridcutt will always be among my favourite players.

Ethan Erhahon is getting there, and to see the Stacey West-sponsored midfielder tearing Shrewsbury was a joy to behold.
