Grant Brown
15 Days, 2 Games, 1 Point (0.5 per game)
15th October – 30th October 2007
Imps 1-1 Peterborough United
Brentford 1-0 Imps
Grant Brown stepped up to the dugout for the first time when John Schofield left the club, stepping back down when Peter Jackson arrived. Now, I’m sure I don’t need to tell you who Grant is, but at the time, he was a youth team coach. If you need to know more about Grant, the club’s new podcast is a great place to start.
Only a Gary Croft own goal in the final minute of the game prevented a win against Peterborough, and it took 80 minutes for Brentford to score the goal that beat us at Griffin Park a week later. Before the following Friday against Chester, a game with a delayed kick-off, if I recall, Peter Jackson was appointed. It took him four matches to get his first League Two point.
