Three Former Imps Available For Loan This January

Morgan Rogers is the final player available for loan and one surely bound for Blackpool. I remember the day we signed Rogers; I was astounded a youngster who cost £4m would sign for City. He quickly made a name for himself by scoring the winner against Portsmouth and bagging three in three in March, with a stunner against Ipswich as the pick of the bunch. On the day we tore MK Dons to shreds (4-0), Brennan Johnson got the goal, but Rogers was the creator.

He did wane a bit towards the end of his spell with us – there we no goals in his final 14 outings. Still, he’d done enough to earn a switch to Bournemouth on loan last season, but it was a disaster. He played 17 times, scoring once, and didn’t finish the season there. The last time he kicked a football in a senior game was 11 months ago – he got six minutes for the Cherries against Hull City.

He’s now tipped to head out on loan, but will he come to League One, or the Championship? If it isn’t Blackpool, there’s no reason why we wouldn’t be in the queue.
