Josh Griffiths suffered significantly during the season, for several reasons. He had a shocking defence in front of him at times, he got off to a shaky start which meant fans didn’t have immediate faith, and he had a good run of form broken up by West Brom refusing to let him play in the FA Cup. Then, just before the final month of the campaign, he got injured and went home, meaning focus shifted to Jordan Wright. When the end of season awards came in, Griffiths was not a contender, but he should have been.

You thought he had a solid season, with some outstanding performances against Burton, Rotherham, Oxford and Sunderland. He also started 35 games for us, and despite not keeping many clean sheets, he was a decent stopper for those matches. He must have been; these are your numbers, not mine.
