Atlanta United Signs Former Furman Standout Wyke To Permanent Contract - Furman University

First up is former Manchester United midfielder Wyke. He was with the Old Trafford side from 2004 up to 2013, before moving to the US to study. He appeared for Trinity Tigers and Furman Paladins, before moving to MLS to appear for Atlanta United, starting in their ‘B’ team and progressing to their first team. He was released by them in November and now doesn’t have a club. Last season, he appeared against the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Nani.

Wyke is primarily a central defender, but he can operate in holding midfield and at right-back, which would seemingly fit our requirements right now. Wyke is only 24, Bolton-born and recorded a passing accuracy of 80.8% during his seven-game MLS stint.
