There’s been weeks where I’ve struggled to find enough content for this feature. Teams such as Morecambe have little in common with us, but when it comes to the Cods, there’s no shortage of material at all.
Due to the proximity of our clubs, players often swap the black and white for red and white, or they downgrade from Sincil Bank to Blundell Park. It’s a journey made by so many players that picking just a handful of each was tough.
I haven’t gone for some of the obvious ones, in the case of one it’s fairly personal to me rather than a general thing, but I have to confess putting together this thanks / no thanks article was enjoyable.
So much so, that even Graham Burrell has got in on the act and provided three original photos of those players we won’t be thanking Grimsby for, as well as one of the players we will.
