Stevenage: The Thank You Article

No Thank You: Albert Jarrett

It’s a bit of a tenuous one this, Stevenage were simply one of a long list of loan clubs that Albert Jarrett managed to rack up before darkening our doors.

He won’t be remembered very fondly by fans of the Imps.. He played a majority of his football firstly under Chris Sutton’s tenure and then the first half of Steve Tilson’s spell in charge. He often lacked consistency and composure but he weighed in with a winning goal against Nuneaton in the cup that set up a second-round tie with Hereford. that we ultimately lost.

He rapidly fell out of favour with Tilson and after three appearances from the bench was loaned out to Aldershot. Once he returned to Lincoln his contract was cancelled by mutual consent amidst rumours of high wages. Steve Tilson went on to use that saving to bring in uncreative kids from average teams to ensure a nice and easy slide down to the National League.
