Thank you: Jamie Clarke

You remember Clarke, right? No? Odd. He did so well in an Imps shirt, scoring four goals in 23 outings.
Actually, I’m joking. He was a willing runner but wasn’t anywhere near prolific enough under Peter Jackson and was eventually released by Chris Sutton. I’m not thanking Accrington for him coming here though. I’m thanking him for what he did there.
On December 28th 2008, Clarke smashed three goals for Stanley as they hammered Grimsby 3-1. A year later he had left Accrington, signed for us, scored in the FA Cup twice against Northwich Victoria in the second round and was dropped for the third round, never to play for us again.
Still, a hat trick. Against Grimsby. Good lad.
Apologies to disagree but Green had a great opportunity to score late on in the game AS were winning dribbled his way through 4 defenders before fluffing his shot near the penalty spot.
