No Thank You – Last season’s away game
It was supposed to be a carnival atmosphere for us, just a point would have guaranteed us a play off place, but instead we were soundly beaten 1-0 in a game we rarely looked like getting anything from.
Huge numbers of City fans made the trip, only to be treated to facilities reminiscent of the late eighties. They were completely unprepared for the deluge of fans that arrived and some bolshy stewarding almost caused problems. Lots had gone in fancy dress too, adding to the happy atmosphere. The bus on the way home was fairly sombre.
Luckily, we had Zippy on the bus, so everything ended up alright. Still, Jordan Clarke’s goal settled the tie and sent them up as rightful champions, but it made for a nervy final day against Yeovil, one I couldn’t celebrate by virtue of my back operation.
Bit of a personal one this.

Apologies to disagree but Green had a great opportunity to score late on in the game AS were winning dribbled his way through 4 defenders before fluffing his shot near the penalty spot.
