Josh Vickers

What can you say about Josh? To think he is still only 22, the potential in the youngster is alarming. He’s big, brave and commands his area as well as any Imps’ keeper in years. Sure, he has a slip in him but which keeper didn’t? even greats like Alan Marriott and David Felgate had an error in them occasionally.

The one big worry over Josh is his fitness, whenever he goes to ground now there’s a moment where you think ‘is it Farman time, or is it serious?’. The days of us buying time for a tactical regroup via a keeper injury haven’t gone, but when we’ve lost Josh for two spells through injury it does leave fans worried.

Aside from that he’s been exceptional, although perhaps he could have done better against Carlisle. Then again, who couldn’t?

Best Moment

There’s been plenty, but it would be hard to look further than his superb display at Sixfields on the opening day of the season. Say what you want about strikers winning games, Josh Vickers stopped us losing 3-1 that day.
