Reading agree deal to sell Andre Garcia to Club Brugge
Reading FC have agreed a deal with Club Brugge for teenage left-back Andre Garcia, according to reports.
The 18-year-old is understood to be travelling to Belgium for a medical after Belgian giants Club Brugge submitted a formal proposal, with the move first reported by Fabrizio Romano. Garcia is expected to join as part of Brugge’s long-term defensive planning following changes at left-back.
Garcia has found opportunities limited this season, making 13 appearances across all competitions, most of them under former boss Noel Hunt. His most recent first-team involvement came as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Peterborough United.
Last season, the academy graduate was a key figure for Reading, featuring 43 times and being widely regarded as one of the club’s brightest prospects. No fee has been officially confirmed, though the player is valued at around £2 million.
