Levi Thorpe – The Champion – 1922

The Champion had a reputation for producing cards back in the day, and in some instances, they’re worth an awful lot of money (thanks to this stupid rookie craze with collectors). This set, of which there were 66, is worth £125. As with all collections, single cards are harder to find at a good price, and you will expect to pay between £5 and £10 per card unless you get a big name for which there is a market, such as Jack Dempsey.
