Luton Town line up loan-to-buy move for Kasey Palmer
Luton Town are closing in on a deal for Hull City attacking midfielder Kasey Palmer, with a loan move expected to include a purchase clause for the summer, according to Alan Nixon.
Under Jack Wilshere, the Hatters have started to arrest their slide and have put themselves back in the promotion conversation, with recruitment now shaped around adding balance as much as quality. Palmer, 29, fits that brief, offering experience and flexibility in the spaces behind the striker.
Luton have already made room in the squad this month, with Millenic Alli heading out on loan, and the expectation is that Palmer would arrive to give Wilshere another option in and around the final third. At Hull, minutes have been harder to come by, and a move that offers a clearer pathway to regular football is understood to appeal.
If it is completed on the terms being discussed, it is the kind of deal that helps Luton now while also keeping one eye on what the squad could look like beyond May.
