Five League Two Players I’d Love Lincoln City To Sign

Kyreece Lisbie

Lisbie is just so Danny Cowley.

Lisbie came through youth football with Leyton Orient, but was released for being too injury-prone.Ā  He failed trials with Colchester, Watford and Millwall, then had a spell at Cray Paper Mills before Watford came back for a second look and signed him and twin brother Kyrell. After his release from there, Brentford signed him for their B team in July 2022. Injuries interrupted his progress, yet he still collected a Premier League Cup winners’ medal in spring 2023 and earned further contracts as he returned to fitness. A

fter eight goals in the first half of the 2024–25 season, Colchester United moved for him in February 2025. He began with their under-21s then went on loan to Braintree Town before being recalled for the run-in. Lisbie scored his first Colchester goal on the opening day of the 2025–26 season, and he hasn’t stopped.

Think about it – talent, but injury-hit. It’s the Cowley blueprint, and this season, the tricky forward has paid the boss back. He has 11 goal involvements this season, with three in the last three matches. He plays on the right of a 4-2-3-1, a system we play, and he just has that little bit of something. His twin brother recently signed for Peterborough, and I think Kyreece could be every bit as good.
