Louis Dodds

Louis Dodds arrived with us in 2007 on a season-long loan from Leicester and quickly became a lively part of the side, scoring nine goals in 41 league games and earning Goal of the Season for a long-range strike against Wycombe. His form earned a move to Port Vale, where he became a crowd favourite across an eight-year spell that brought 289 league appearances, 51 goals and a promotion in 2012–13.
Later spells with Shrewsbury, Chesterfield and several non-league clubs followed before he moved into coaching. For us, he remains one of the brighter attacking loans of that era.
Chris Herd! There’s a player I had forgotten about, he looked like he had a big future ahead of him when he had his loan spell with us (Vale), obviously injuries took their toll and it never really happened for him. Ainsworth and Dodds, both legends at Vale Park. Saturday should be an easy three points for you, we are dire right now – haven’t scored a single goal in our last 6 league games, heads drops as soon as we concede.
