Chris Herd

Chris Herd arrived in England as an Aston Villa youngster and took his first senior steps with Port Vale, scoring two goals in 11 games during a lively loan spell that hinted at his versatility. He joined us in 2009/10 under Chris Sutton and quickly made an impact, scoring four times in twenty outings while showing real bite in midfield.
Later moves to Bolton, Wigan and Chesterfield followed, along with a varied career overseas, including appearances for Australia in 2014.
Chris Herd! There’s a player I had forgotten about, he looked like he had a big future ahead of him when he had his loan spell with us (Vale), obviously injuries took their toll and it never really happened for him. Ainsworth and Dodds, both legends at Vale Park. Saturday should be an easy three points for you, we are dire right now – haven’t scored a single goal in our last 6 league games, heads drops as soon as we concede.
