City defender Charlie Parks has joined Gainsborough Trinity on loan until January.

Parks signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2025 and will now continue his footballing development with the Holy Blues until the turn of the year.

The Trinity are currently tenth in the Pitching In Northern Premier League, and Parks could make his debut when they host Hebburn Town this evening.

The defender was a key part of the Under-18 side last season, captaining the side as they equalled their best-ever showing in the FA Cup, agonisingly going out on penalties to Plymouth Argyle.

He also enjoyed a work experience loan at Grantham Town before returning to the Imps to pen his new deal.

He joins a Gainsborough side buoyed by their recent FA Cup exploits, where they made the First Round only to be bravely eliminated by Accrington Stanley. They’re going well in the Northern Premier Division, sitting tenth, four points outside the play-offs but with up to five games in hand of the teams above.

Parks joins former Imps Adam Crookes and Johnny Margetts at the Northolme, and follows Daniel Vanderpuye, who appeared once for them earlier this season while on a work experience loan.

He becomes the eighth Lincoln City player out on loan, joining Zane Okoro, Mj Kamara, Oisin Gallagher, JJ McKiernan, Jamie Pardington, Vanderpuye and Charlie Carlisle in making temporary exits.
