The Stacey West Podcast is delighted to announce its team for the new season.
We’re the longest-running Lincoln City podcast, and with two shows a week, award nominations, and 1,000 listens across platforms on each episode. We boast plenty of specials, the most recent being Matt Rhead and Rob Bradley, and we have live shows, both at the club and for Patrons of the site at Tension Twisted Realities.
We’re proud to be right at the front of Imps fanalysis.
This season, we’re bigger and better than ever. Firstly, we’re delighted to formally announce our newest recruit, Emily Rooke. Emily joins us with years of Imps fandom behind her, as well as appearances in the now-defunct Stacey West fanzine and on the Lockdown Quiz. A regular at the Bank, she attends with her Dad, and will form part of the crucial coverage this season.
We are trying to stay relatively uniform, so Sunday will usually be hosted by Gary, and Wednesday by Ben. On a Sunday, either Chris or Emily will join Gary to talk about the weekend’s game, while Ben will be joined by either Chris or Charlie. In addition, the preview show is back, hosted by either Ben or Charlie.
We’re entering our eighth season covering the Imps, and felt it was time for a rebrand. As football fanatics, we love all of the paraphernalia that comes with the game, from replica shirts to wall charts, and of course, sticker albums. Gary is an avid collector of sticker albums, with stuff going back to 1970, and it seems like the sort of geeky thing Ben would be into as well. As the two founding fathers of the podcast, it felt right to use that as the basis for the new branding.
It won’t be the only new branding this year – the final touches are being applied to a rebrand of the site. In January, staceywest.net celebrates its tenth birthday, and after a decade of the Impact Label font, we’re working with a graphic designer to bring you a new, fresh feel. There is a new logo currently being approved, the next step of our ten-year celebrations.
It’s a new look, but rest assured, you’ll get the same excellent coverage you’ve always had. The sticker album might feature five faces, but the Stacey West is so much more. Graham Burrell will be back on pictures as soon as his arm heals. Malcom Johnson will be bringing the past to life by delving into the archives, and Darragh Tracey will be back with his weekly previews. Behind the scenes, Stu Wells beavers away with graphics and social media content, ensuring we’re covering all the bases.
Strap in for year ten of the podcast, season 11 of coverage (if you include the part-season, 2015/16, when we started) and season eight of the podcast. I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun.
