The 6ft 3in German striker has previously had spells with Huddersfield and Ipswich, but was last seen playing for St Mirren in the Scottish top flight. He played 30 times for Huddersfield in the Premier League in 2017/18, and scored four in 16 for Ipswich in the Championship. There is an element of believability about this one, you could see him fitting a wage structure here, but it is tenuous, at best.

I’ve now dropped into the Scottish Championship, which is as low as I dare go without tarnishing my own integrity, and Johnstone is the last name on the list. He was a youngster with Celtic, and he’s played in League Two with Colchester, Burton and Cheltenham. He last scored in 2017/18 for St Johnstone, and is really only a fit in terms of cost.
