This is a big game for City, one we haven’t had in my time supporting City. In fact, as recently as 2018/19, they were seen as a big pre-season friendly, the prestige game that drew big crowds. Just because they’re a big name, don’t expect them to challenge – I’ve spoken to a few Owls’ fans recently and they’re not hopeful at all.
Some players are thought to be close to quitting due to unpaid wages and there’s a feeling they could be another Bolton Wanderers circa 2019/20, rather than a Hull City from 2020/21.
