Loan Player of the Year – Alex Palmer

I thought I’d do an award for loan player of the season, because it does seem that clubs like us have a good number through and they often have a big say in our season. This year, three really stood out. One has won Young Player of the Year, the other (Brennan Johnson) was a close second, but both were just bested by Alex Palmer. It would be hard not to award this to Palmer, he played 46 league games for us and despite one or two mistakes mid-season, he was largely dependable and a commanding presence in the box. Oddly, as you’ll find out later, he isn’t the only keeper to win an award in our series!
