Zack Elbouzedi Maturing

This may sound surprising, but I remember exactly where I was when I heard Elbouzedi had signed for us; stood on the platform of Peterborough station on my way down to the FSA Awards. I had to Google him there and then, I confess.
I liked what I saw, the goals for Waterford, the hype around his performances and the potential he seemed to ooze. We’ve been told he’s lightning quick, able to create and score, but what little we’ve seen of him has been unremarkable. In recent weeks, he’s drifted from the first team picture, possibly to give him a chance to adapt to the recent move and the step up in quality.
These two weeks could be crucial for him. We need to start seeing a threat from out wide once more. Under the prevous manager, wing play formed a big part of our attack and we’ve still got a real potency about us when we get it right. Yes, you need a striker to be on the end of crosses, but our build up play looks neat and tdy when we get it right.
We’re being hampered at present by not having enough wingers on form, so if Zack can take this break and use it as a catalyst for the rest of the season, we should all benefit.
Yes it would be very nice to benefit from this break like we did last time.
Also to see some sort of improvent from Hopper and ,,Zack attack”… I won’t be holding my breath though after seeing them play. Not even a glimpse of anything so far….
In my eyes Scully is our biggest hope for improvement. Hopefully after these two weeks on the training ground he will be able to make something happening for us up front. But MA needs to play him on one position though. Preferably as a striker. You can’t change his position every 5mins like MA does at the moment and expect him to do well ….
As for Bridcutt I’m sure he will be fine. Good and experienced player.
Looking forward to see Morrell back too. Great player. When he plays well we play well as a team….
I know also what I would love to NOT see after this break. Hesketh in the team again … Playing him is sabotage……
