It’s another windy one up here and time for what I have to term as a ‘surprise hit’, the Morning Dog Walk.

Today, as Charlie evades me and I wheeze desperately climbing the hills around my house, we’re talking loan players and the contempt with which big football treats real football.

  1. Cup replays: How about a higher division club having the option to elect a one-match tie, but on the agreement that they compensate the lower league club with 40% of a sellout gate at the unused ground in the event of a normal-time draw?

  2. Refutes the popular impression some have that Lincolnshire is totally flat! Agree about Payne and Hesketh.
