Halifax Shocker

Merry bloody Christmas, I don’t think. As 2013 ambled towards 2014, we travelled to play Halifax Town in what the league felt was a sufficient local derby for the festive double header.

Alan Power’s 12th-minute dismissal made this an afternoon to forget. Dan Gardner scored for our hosts and despite Ben Tomlinson’s leveller, they led two minutes later through Lee Gregory.

2-1 might not have been too bad, but Adam Smith, Reece Gray and Jonathan Worthington all scored in the last ten minutes to make this a Boxing Day best only remembered on Halloween.
