We finish with a player who didn’t score in that game, but who could well be a target if we lose Morrell and Connolly. Azaz plays a little deeper than the three we’ve mentioned, he’s a central midfielder who would almost certainly fill the Joe Morrell role. He might even be good cover if we needed a player in that role from the bench.
The big issue would be whether the Baggies would loan these players out if they weren’t going to play all that much. Soule, probably not, but the others they might take a chance.
Azaz is described by their official website as ‘a strong, intelligent player who is a regular for Albion Under-23s’ as well as ‘an impressive and creative passer of the ball’. They sound suspiciously like the sort of attributes Michael Appleton values highly in his midfield and attacking players.
Great feeling to sign my first professional contract @WBA . Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way ❤️ pic.twitter.com/bUMHX2LG8g

I am not sure I agree with you about a telling ball from the wingers you mentioned Gary.
I would like to see the stats in comparison to other teams with similar league one status.
I think it’s an area that can be improved upon
