The quality of a January signing can make or break your season. Often, certainly with the likes of Lee Angol, it can look like you’ve been signed for a reason and neglected. Players come in as cover and are rarely seen, but sometimes one comes in who seriously impresses.

Mark O’Hara has seriously impressed. The Peterborough man has added an energy and physical presence to an already impressive midfield area, weighing in with a goal against Yeovil which settled a few nerves too.

It would mean a packed roster in terms of central midfield players, but the 23-year-old is one I’d love to see remain at the club.

He gone about making the right noises with regards to a prolonged stay at the club and the suggestion is he’ll be one we pursue during the summer. It would mean a packed roster in terms of central midfield players, but the 23-year-old is one I’d love to see remain at the club.

The aerial presence is one aspect of his game that is unique to our other crop of midfielders. He has a huge leap and is a threat at set pieces, which plays to our strengths and is something I believe we’ll see utilised to good effect again next season.

If we can find a way to sign O’Hara, it would be a major coup for the club.

  1. Chapman didn’t play enough to judge him.
Freck in overall was a disappointment.
O’hara was very good. If we’ll sign him that could be a massive player for us…
Pett was ok. far better as CM than winger. Tidy on the ball. Not enough all important final passes/assists like for me though…
O’Connor had very good season. In some games he was class. Question mark would be his fitness and ability to play every game I guess..

What we are missing in our midfield is more creativity in my opinion.
