Let’s assume for a minute we need another centre back. Even if Jason Shackell doesn’t commit to another season, we have Bolger and Bostwick as well as James Wilson.

Let’s further assume that the lesser-spotted Wilson is set for a summer exit, that would leave us short of central defenders. If we wanted to grab one of the best in League One, we’d be sniffing around Oxford United’s Curtis Nelson.

Nelson is unhappy at the lack of progress being made at Oxford. There are issues around the club holding them back and he’s so far not committed to a long-term deal.

He’s likely to attract attention from bigger clubs than us, but never under-estimate the pulling power of Danny and Nicky.
