Lee Angol
We know Danny liked Angol. There’s a train of thought that had him signing for us permanently, only for Mansfield to throw a load of money at the situation and derail the lad’s career with a ill-fated move. Is the 24-year-old about to put things right?
He;s scored four in 25 matches for Shrewsbury this season and they’ve just signed Stefan Payne, possibly making him surplus to requirements. He’s a personality Danny knows and perhaps still has a lot of respect for and he’s young enough to develop. He’s also got a different threat to John and Rheady, he’s quicker and adapts well to the intense pressing game we like to play.
He’s only started 10 League One games for the Shrews this season and could well be one who is available and ready.
