So far this afternoon there has been much to ponder for Imps fans. Where will Michael Bostwick fit in? Will Matt Rhead keep his place? Is Matthew Briggs going to be a viable option at full back?
To see the name Matthew Briggs might not mean much to many, but he’s has some real pedigree. He’s played top-flight football for Fulham before, and at half time of today’s game I think he has acquitted himself well.
He’s on trial from Colchester having suffered something of a fall from grace. He was once touted as the next big thing in West London having made his Fulham debut at just 16 years old. Since then despite spending time on loan he’s managed to fall down the leagues, firstly to Millwall and latterly Colchester.
I can’t help but feel the quality of trilist has even been impressive. I liked the look of Ormund-Ottiwell a fortnight ago, and since then we’ve seen Noah Chesmain try out at full back and now Briggs. Briggs has to be the most impressive name of all though, and he’s done well in his first 45 minutes.
I’m updating from a box at the ground, so we’ll see what happens in the second half.
You should be employed by LCFC. Surely there is a media roll somewhere for you.
