Lincoln City Loan Watch: Cup Exit For One Youngster, Position Switch For Another

We currently have seven players out on loan, all enjoying differing fortunes.

In recent weeks, we’ve seen a handful return – Daniel Vanderpuye came back from Loughborough, while Jamie Pardington also returned from Oxford City. Noah Simmons, with first-team experience this season, moved to the seaside to help Skegness Town in their battle for a play-off spot in the United Counties League Premier Division North.

How did our boys do this weekend? As always, we begin our roundup in another country and slowly move closer to home.

MJ Kamara – Glentoran

MJ will turn 20 this weekend, on the day we play Bolton. He’ll be hoping to have 180 minutes under his belt by the time the Trotters leave the Bank, as his side face Larne in a must-win game tomorrow evening, before Ballymena visit at the weekend. Larne are 13 points clear of MJ’s Glentoran, with games in hand, so any slim chance of winning the title could be gone tomorrow.

Most recently, he missed out as they beat Coleraine 2-1 in the BetMcLean cup.

Zane Okoro – Coleraine

Zane did feature in the cup semi-final, coming on after 62 minutes, but he was unable to help his side who sank to defeat. This weekend, they were in cup action again, this time in the Irish Cup, where a 4-1 extra time win against Carrick Rangers set up a quarter-final date against Limavady United. Zane came on for extra time, but was not involved in the goals or assists.

JJ McKiernan – Burton Albion

JJ has been featuring regularly for Burton since his return from injury, but hasn’t been among the goals. In his last two matches, he has attempted eight shots, two of which were on target, but his side lost to Doncaster and drew with Port Vale, two fairly damaging results.

He did play 70 minutes of their 2-2 draw with Cardiff City, which certainly helped us a little at the top of the table.

Oisin Gallagher – Boston United

Oisin has kept his place in the Boston line-up, despite the change of manager, but he has shifted position. Graham Coughlan liked him at centre half, but this weekend, our exciting youngster found himself in the middle of the park.

He played left centre back as the Pilgrims beat Boreham Wood a week ago, but the arrival of Jamie Grimes saw him step into midfield, where he played 90 minutes of their 1-0 win against Sutton United.

Charlie Parks – Gainsborough Trinity

Parks has been starting regularly for Gainsborough, and he started their trip to Leek to play on an artificial surface. Sadly, the awful conditions were one reason behind the Holy Blues’ first defeat of 2026, by a single goal to nil.

Parks was taken off at halftime as Russ Wilcox attempted to chase the game, in vain.

Charlie Carlisle – Lincoln United

Lincoln United have struggled to play regular games in the recent bad weather, and this weekend was no different. Their away fixture against Brighouse Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch following an inspection by the Northern Premier League.

Noah Simmons – Skegness Town

Noah played his third game for The Lilywhites, coming off after 89 minutes of their 2-1 defeat against Eastwood Community, with former Imps Phil Watt and Terry Hawkridge lining up for the hosts. It was his third start for Skegness, having also played as they lost 4-1 against Newark Town and drew 2-2 with Heanor Town.
