Farman: This is a big club

Paul Farman believes that displays by the 617 go a long way to proving the size of Lincoln City Football Club.

The whole ‘big club, small club’ debate will always rage on, but aside from the issues we had on Saturday, 1900 away fans is still a massive indication of the potential we have. Farms believes the mosaic against Notts County has the same effect.

“I noticed the mosaic and at first I had to try to work it out! That was before the game though, after I saw the photos and it was brilliant. It’s great though, it gets around on social media and it is unbelievable for the club. It reminds people again that Lincoln City are not a small club. Some people might think we’re a small team, but we’re not. This is a big club.”

I was catching up with Farms as part of my programme article interview, something you can see exclusively in #UTI, the new match day magazine. It was ironic that he was the second player I interviewed for the new section, I’d literally only spoken to him a week earlier for the blog! We chatted about a range of issues, one of which was VAR technology. Farms is all in favour.

“I’m all for video assistance to be fair. When goal line technology came in everybody was a bit funny about it. Whenever anyone asks I’m always massively for any technology in the game. Look at Burnley last season, if that was a league a league game the goal might not have been given. It was a definite goal, well over the line but without the technology who knows what might have happened?”

If we had VAR at Lincoln, we would have four points from the last six now too!
