League One Latest: Blackpool Bag Top Flight Striker, Mansfield Town Seal Defender Agreement

Blackpool add Obafemi to attacking options

Blackpool have boosted their forward line with the loan signing of Michael Obafemi from Burnley, confirmed by the club via their official website at blackpoolfc.co.uk.

The 25-year-old returns to English football after a loan spell in Germany and arrives with extensive Championship and Premier League experience, having previously featured for Southampton, Swansea City and Burnley. He has also spent time on loan with Millwall and Plymouth Argyle.

Head coach Ian Evatt highlighted Obafemi’s pedigree and motivation, noting his history of scoring in the Championship and his desire to reignite his career. For Blackpool, the deal represents a calculated gamble on quality and upside as they look to climb the League One table during the second half of the season.
