Bobby Wales
Swansea City
Wales came through the youth system at Kilmarnock after being scouted from Hurlford Boys’ Club and signed his first professional contract in July 2021. He progressed through the club’s development squads, scoring heavily at youth level, including goals in the SPFL Reserve Cup final, and was named Kilmarnock’s Rising Academy Star at the end of the 2022–23 season.
He made his senior debut for Kilmarnock during the 2022–23 Scottish Premiership campaign and went on to gain regular senior football during a loan spell with Alloa Athletic in the 2023–24 season, where he scored 12 league goals. In May 2025, Swansea City agreed a compensation deal to sign him, and he officially joined the Championship club that summer, making an immediate impact by scoring and assisting on his debut in the EFL Cup.
He’s not played a huge amount of games, and we have previously been linked with him by Graeme Bailey, with a January move suggested, so this Obikwu exit could make that happen.
