Melbourne is listed as a ‘wild card’ for MVPS, and has appeared four times for them, with no goals or assists, but a 56.25 duels success rate.

Melbourne joined West Bromwich Albion’s academy in 2008, progressing through the system before turning professional in 2017. He gained his first senior experience on loan in Scotland, appearing for Ross County in the Premiership during 2018 and later the same year moving to Partick Thistle, where he scored in the Challenge Cup against Stranraer.

In September 2019, Melbourne signed on loan for us in League One, making his debut in the EFL Trophy. The following January the deal was made permanent, and he remained at the LNER Stadium for two and a half seasons. Across his time with the Imps he made 35 competitive appearances, scoring once, a stoppage-time header to seal victory against Plymouth Argyle in January 2022.

During his Lincoln spell, he also featured on loan with Walsall in 2021, where he scored on his debut against Mansfield Town, and with Stevenage in 2021–22. He left the Imps at the end of that campaign and subsequently signed for Morecambe, playing 31 league matches across two seasons.

He left the Baller League this summer to sign for Gateshead in the National League.
