13. Danny Hone
100 appearances, 4 goals

Danny Hone came through the academy at Sincil Bank and was a dependable centre-back across three seasons of regular first-team football. Solid in the air and physically imposing, he was known for his no-nonsense defending and positional discipline.
Hone made his debut against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, emerging during a difficult period for the club. He was a Peter Jackson favourite, who remained reliable and consistent during a turbulent time in City’s Football League tenure. He was widely tipped to go on to better things, but following our relegation, he drifted into non-league football at the same time.
12. Jovon Makama
97 appearances, 15 goals

Makama has developed into an incredibly promising forward with pace, strength, and a knack for grabbing goals. This season alone, he had as many goal involvements as Brennan Johnson did during the 2020/21 season.
Initially used sparingly through the centre, he gained valuable first-team experience while the likes of Draper were on loan spells. His physicality and work rate have made him a useful option either leading the line or supporting from wide areas.
Two performances this season have really made him stand out – Reading and Bristol Rovers, but over the course of the campaign, he’s been hugely impressive. In a year’s time, I think he’d be a lot higher on this list.
