Attendances Are Falling – No, They’re Not, and Here’s Proof

3rd – Michael Skubala (8852)

Lowest – 6,842 v Shrewsbury Town

Highest – 10,064 v Bolton Wanderers

There’s almost 600 difference between Kennedy and Skubala, but it’s worth noting only 41 difference between our current coach and the highest average attendance. This suggests that, actually, under Appleton, Kennedy and Cowley, attendance has remained relatively stable.

Curiously, the worst attendance in the league under Skubala was perhaps the best performance, as we smashed Shrewsbury 3-0. That’s one of just five that has fallen below the 8,000 mark under the current coach, seven fewer than Kennedy. Also, 16 have attracted 9,000 supporters or more, twice as many as Kennedy.

The lowest Saturday attendance under Skubala, so far, is 7,609 against Exeter City last season, and the highest midweek figure, discounting the Christmas period and Easter, 8,219 against Northampton Town.
