Macauley Southam-Hales – Stockport County
We were linked with a swoop for the Stockport man back in the summer, along with a host of other clubs. He stayed put and has appeared 18 times for the Hatters this season, impressing as they beat Bolton 5-3 in the FA Cup. He signed a two-year deal with Stockport in September 2020, which means he could be on the move this window. It fits the Imps’ model; a relatively young prospect, possibly available for a small fee in the window. I think we could be looking at full-back cover as well, especially as we’ve been linked with Trai Hume. That almost confirms and put paid to this being revisited; it confirms we’d like more cover at right-back, but also perhaps that we’ve moved on.
