Predicted Starting XI For Manchester United U21s Clash

Lewis Montsma

I hope that Lewis is involved tomorrow because it would prove that his omission has been because of Max’s form, not purely his injury. He looked good against Shrewsbury; we looked good there until he went off. We desperately need options at the back and Lewis getting back on form would help. We’ve missed his long, Hollywood balls across the field of late.

Tayo is in great form, and he’s a fit boy too, but I can see Michael resting him for the weekend. League points are worth much more than this fixture, and as such, it’ll be a shuffle around. Cohen will most likely drop into the left-back role, especially when there’s likely to be lots of pace in the United team.

Max came in for the Shrewsbury game and did well, so I think he’ll be recalled for this fixture. He does need minutes, and if he’s to kick on this season he needs to be the option alongside Liam Bridcutt in the first team. He’s not there right now, be he is the alternative to our captain on nights like these. A big performance could rattle the first-team picture a little. this relies on him being fit of course, which might not be the case as he wasn’t on the bench at the weekend.
